How to Place Holds

To place an item on hold:

  1. Search the CUE library catalogue 
  2. Click on an item's title
  3. Click "Place Hold"
  4. Enter your library barcode & PIN
  5. Select "Concordia University of Edmonton" as your pick-up location
  6. Click "Place Hold"

Picking Up Your Holds

Once you receive an email stating that the item is available for pick up, you will find it on the Holds Shelf located behind the Library Service Desk.

When picking up your holds please remember to

✅ bring your CUE ID card with you and

✅ check the item out using our self-checkout station or with a library staff member. 

Material from other NEOS libraries are typically delivered to CUE Library within a few days.

What Can You Place on Hold?

Most physical items from CUE & NEOS libraries:

  • Books, DVDs, CDs

Some items cannot be placed on hold:

  • Non-CUE Local Loan items
  • Reference items
  • Ebooks and other digital materials
