Education - Library Orientation Module

Contact the Registrar’s Office if you have questions about your CUE student ID card.

Until your CUE student ID card is created, you do not have a library account (barcode & PIN number).

Use your CUE ID card to:

• Scan & print documents on campus
• Borrow from CUE Library and other NEOS libraries
• Check My Account to see your due dates, and renew items 
• Place holds on books and other library materials
• Request interlibrary loans
• Register for a free L-Pass and access resources from the Edmonton Public Library

To get your student ID card created, you must first upload your photo: 

• Visit Online Services for Students > My Account > Personal Information
• Login with your CUE email and password
• Scroll down to “Student ID Photo” and click “Edit”
• Select your photo to upload – making sure that it meets the photo requirements
• Check the consent box
• Click “Save”

Once your photo has been reviewed by the Registrar’s Office, you will receive an email stating if it has been approved or not. Follow the Registrar's instructions to receive your digital or physical ID card. 

The Registrar's photo approval process may take 2 business days.

The following photo criteria is required by CUE's Registrar's Office:

• Photo must be taken in the last 6 months
• Eyeware that obscures or tints your eyes must NOT be worn
• Show your head, face and shoulders against a neutral backgroud
• Directly face the camera
• Natural expressions/smiles welcome
• Photo must be in colour
• Do not have other objects or people in the photo
• No filters
• JPEG, JPG, or PNG files accepted
• Photo file size must be under 10MB
