Library Services Platform (LSP) Migration

CUE Library is moving to a new library services platform!

CUE Library will be moving from the library services platform (LSP) it currently shares with other NEOS libraries to its own instance of OCLC Worldshare Management Services (WMS) on May 1, 2025. This is a complex process that will take several months to complete and will involve some disruptions to library services in the Winter 2025 term.

Why the change?

Our current system is more than 20 years old and no longer meets the evolving needs of CUE Library. WMS is a cloud-based LSP that is better suited to managing CUE's physical and electronic library resources.

All NEOS libraries will move to their own LSP by July 2025. NEOS libraries will no longer share a catalogue after these migrations are complete, but they remain committed to sharing their resources and will develop new processes to do so.

What will change after CUE Library moves to WMS?

When using the CUE Library catalogue, users will encounter only minor changes in what they see and experience when searching.

CUE users will be able to search the holdings of most (but not all) NEOS libraries, but the process for placing holds on items at other NEOS libraries will change.

Updates on borrowing from other NEOS libraries will be provided after the migration is complete.
